MANU 2025 MISSION

Summary of MANU mission trip January, 2025.

Hello Donors and Interested Parties,

We had another successful mission trip to Northern Uganda in January 2025.  We appreciate St John's XXIII Aber Hospital, Father-Doctor Samuel Okori, and staff for hosting us, and providing accommodations and transportation during our stay!  We spent time at the hospital talking with staff and seeing patients and reviewing our projects.  The Triage center and Radiology/CT scanner are up and running well.  The maternity building we are funding has the foundation and support columns partially completed.

Our team did 5 village outreach clinics at the following Health Centers:

Alenga Health Center

Aliwang Health Center

Akia St. Francis Health Center

Aboke Health Center

Aloi Health Center

We cared for several hundred patients during each clinic day.

Thanks to all the clinical staff for welcoming us and helping us organize each clinic!  We could see the patients appreciated our care and the medications we provided!

The MANU team also presented an educational grand rounds on Anemia, which was well attended and received by staff.  We spent time evaluating and planning our next project - A new maternity facility to improve maternal-fetal health.

A special thank you to our MANU team for planning and serving a lunch to St. John's Aber Hospital patients and hospital staff, who enjoyed the hospitality!

We could see the people of Northern Uganda were excited to see us and can feel the support for our MANU TEAM.

Thank you to our MANU team members for volunteering!

INSTALLATION OF BD BACTEC™ FX BLOOD CULTURE ANALYZER

AUGUST, 2020

With the help of generous donors, MANU has purchased a state-of-the-art BD Bactec™ FX blood culture analyzer. This system enables Father Doctor Okori and his team in the Aber Hospital laboratory to quickly detect organisms that cause a range of infectious diseases. Armed with accurate laboratory diagnostics, clinicians can make the most appropriate treatment decision for each patient in the ongoing fight against widespread infectious diseases.
